This function is undergoing changes in early 2021 and may not match everyone's experience until the transition is finished

At the moment there is a one to one relationship between an administrator account and an organisation (whether that be a domain organisation or a sub-organisation within a domain). This is in the process of changing but at this moment in the transition the details that are about the administrator have merely been separated from the details that are about the administrator. You will see more changes to this over the early part of 2021.

As with the other account pages, this is split into sections for the password, account details, notes and activity. When you save changes you are asked for your password (your old one if you're changing that).

You can find administrator accounts on the relevant tab in search results or on the organisation summary page ( ). You can also access your own administrator account from the icon in the top bar ( ).

Password tab

An editable expiry date will only appear here if you are editing another administrator account. You you cannot edit your own expiry date (which you can see below the panel on the left).

Account details tab

The account details section contains the name and contact information we will use to contact you about administrator stuff when necessary. In the future it will include fields from your general account schema.

Notes and activity tabs

These are the same as on any other account

What other changes can I expect to see in the future?

Upcoming changes include:

  • Removal of the IP list from administrator accounts - logins will occasionally ask you to confirm your identity via a link in an email.
  • Allowing any personal account to be marked as an administrator
  • Two levels of administrator privileges
  • Multiple individual administrators allowed with the same purview and privileges

  • No labels
