As well as options for onsite training with one of our experts, OpenAthens has a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) that administrators can access:

The VLE offers courses at various levels and progress is linked to your administrator account. If you have several people sharing who want to use the VLE but only one organisation account between you, here's how you can create additional sub-organisation accounts to use for this:

  1. In the admin area go to Accounts > Add > Organisation
  2. Work through the wizard but do not select the option on page two to have a unique identifier or unique scope (or they will start showing up in front of your patrons and causing confusion)
  3. Repeat as nessisary

These accounts will not let you administer the end users in your system and there are a couple of things they can't do (such as domain preferences). They do have other uses, but if you don't otherwise need them it's fine to think of them as just for the VLE. If you do not see the option to create organisation accounts, contact your support provider via the button in the toolbar and they will enable it for you.
