- Access to the OpenAthens administration area at the domain level
- Subscription to Mandarin Library Automation (MLA)
Method
Look up your redirector prefix
Access the administration area as the domain administrator and navigate to the redirect link generator (Resources > Redirector link generator).
The part you are interested in is the bit like this: https://go.openathens.net/redirector/yourdomain.com?url=
Add your Redirector prefix to MLA
Even though the redirector is not a proxy server, we can use the proxy server function in MLA to insert the redirector prefix and achieve a similar goal.

- If you have an exiting proxy server prefix registered with them, ask them to update it to your OpenAthens redirector prefix. Confirming your old proxy prefix will help them.
- If you do not have an exiting proxy server prefix registered with them, ask them to add your OpenAthens redirector prefix.
