Finding latitude and longitude

The latitude and longitude of your organisation's location(s) can be recorded on your organisation account as an aid to organisation discovery - e.g. where service providers are using the OpenAthens Wayfinder service.

Here is how to find your lattitude and longditude using a couple of popular mapping services. Many other options are available - try the terms find latitude longitude in your favourite search engine.

Google Maps

  1. Go to https://maps.google.com

  2. Find the location you are interested in

  3. Right click on the location on the map and select 'what's here' to display information including the coordinates
     
  4. Copy them to the organisation account details

Bing Maps

  1. Go to https://www.bing.com/maps

  2. Find the location you are interested in

  3. Right click on the locaion on the map and see the coordinates on the context menu

  4. Copy them to the organisation account details
