Finding latitude and longitude
The latitude and longitude of your organisation's location(s) can be recorded on your organisation account as an aid to organisation discovery - e.g. where service providers are using the OpenAthens Wayfinder service.
Here is how to find your lattitude and longditude using a couple of popular mapping services. Many other options are available - try the terms find latitude longitude
in your favourite search engine.
Google Maps
- Go to https://maps.google.com
- Find the location you are interested in
- Right click on the location on the map and select 'what's here' to display information including the coordinates
- Copy them to the organisation account details
Bing Maps
- Go to https://www.bing.com/maps
- Find the location you are interested in
- Right click on the locaion on the map and see the coordinates on the context menu
- Copy them to the organisation account details
