What was OpenAthens LA?

OpenAthens LA was our locally installed authentication product which connected to ActiveDirectory and used the user credentials you were already maintaining for authentication so you would not need to create or manage separate accounts. All support for it ended on 31 March 2020. OpenAthens LA has been superseded by local connector functionality. See: About local directory integration.
